Frequently asked questions
How do I delete my data?
Two options:
In-app: open Settings → "Delete my data". This wipes your local chat history and removes your session record from our servers.
On the web (no app required): visit ai-love-scammer.fly.dev/delete-data and paste your session ID. You can find your session ID in the app under Settings → About.
If neither works, email us at jeffrey.ng.op@gmail.com with the subject line [Privacy] Data deletion request and we'll handle it manually within 30 days.
The app crashed. How do I report it?
Email us at jeffrey.ng.op@gmail.com with subject line [Bug] Crash report.
Helpful info to include:
- Your device (e.g., "iPhone 15 Pro", "Samsung Galaxy S24")
- Operating system version (Settings → About → Software version)
- App version (visible in Settings → About inside the app)
- What you were doing when it crashed (e.g., "tapped Send on a chat message with character Prince Charming")
- Screenshot if you have one
You don't need all of this — even a one-line "it crashed when I tapped X" helps us reproduce the issue.
Why does my chat history disappear when I clear app data?
Chat history is stored on your device only — never on our servers. This is a privacy choice: if we don't have it, no one can ask us for it. The trade-off is that clearing app data, uninstalling, or switching devices wipes the history. We don't have a way to recover it.
If you want a record of a conversation, take screenshots inside the app while you're playing.
Why is AI情騙子 rated 17+?
The game involves flirtatious dialogue and emotional-manipulation tactics — that's the whole point of teaching scam recognition. The rating reflects the suggestive themes inherent to the romance-scam premise, not graphic content. There is no nudity, no profanity, and no violence.
We believe younger users could benefit from learning to spot fraud, but the format (interactive flirtation with AI characters who try to extract money) isn't appropriate for under-18. For younger learners, we recommend the educational materials at FTC's romance scam guide.
Is the money in the game real?
No. The "training wallet" is virtual play money. There are no in-app purchases, no real payment processing, and nothing connects to your actual bank or card. If you transfer ¥100,000 to a scammer character, no real currency moves anywhere. This is intentional — the whole point is practicing the decision moments safely.
I think I'm being scammed in real life. What should I do?
Stop sending money or sharing information immediately. If you've already shared bank details, contact your bank's fraud line.
Then report the scam to your local anti-fraud authority:
- Taiwan: Call 165 (反詐騙專線)
- Hong Kong: Call 18222 (Anti-Scam Helpline)
- Malaysia: Call 997 (NSRC) or report at semakmule.rmp.gov.my
- Singapore: Call 1799 (Anti-Scam Helpline)
- United States: Report at reportfraud.ftc.gov or call 1-877-FTC-HELP
- United Kingdom: Report at actionfraud.police.uk or call 0300 123 2040
You're not alone, and you're not stupid. Scammers are professionals who run these playbooks dozens of times. Reaching out for help is the right move.
Does AI情騙子 work offline?
Partially. The app launches and shows your local data offline, but chat replies require an internet connection because the AI runs on our servers. If you're getting "connection error" messages, check your Wi-Fi or mobile data.
Can I get the app in a language other than English or Traditional Chinese?
Not yet. v1.0 supports English and Traditional Chinese. If there's enough demand, we'll consider adding Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean in a future release. Let us know what language you'd want via email.
I have a feature idea — how do I share it?
Email us at jeffrey.ng.op@gmail.com with subject [Feedback] Feature idea. We read every message and prioritize based on how often we hear similar requests.
